Co-founder, and CEO, Kamran holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Connecticut, and an MBA. He was the principal shareholder/owner of Aectra/Refining and Marketing, a petroleum and petrochemical trading and distribution company from 1980-2001 headquartered in Houston, TX, and with offices in Jacksonville, FL and Brussels, Belgium. After building a series of other ventures, Kamran co-founded Centage Corporation, hiring a new team of dedicated developers, an energetic sales force and deeply knowledgeable consultants to bring innovative financial management solutions to small and mid-sized organizations.
Co-founder and CTO, Jack has led the research and development of Budget Maestro since its inception. He has more than 20 years experience in R&D, marketing, accounting and sales. Prior to Centage, Mr. Davidson was principal and owner of a systems integration company. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts.
President and COO, Barry brings over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business management, of technology based businesses. Beginning with IBM, Mr. Clapp has held a succession of jobs with increasing responsibility in software and Internet related businesses. At DigitalGlobe, a satellite imagery company where he served as vice president, he was responsible for $25 million in worldwide sales and support. As vice president at Advanced Electron Beams, a venture-backed maker of electron beam generation equipment for the environmental and sterilization industries, he managed and grew worldwide sales. Most recently, Mr. Clapp served as a strategic consultant to accelerate high growth of several early-stage companies, including Boston Technologies, a supplier of hosted services and high-volume transaction processing and execution for the foreign exchange trading market. As President and CEO of Source Recovery Company, an enterprise software tools company, Mr. Clapp negotiated its sale to Allen Systems in 2000. Mr. Clapp has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) from Nichols College and an MBA (with Honors) from Babson College.
Executive Vice President and CFO, John has more than 25 years experience in finance, accounting and administration. He has extensive experience working with both high growth Fortune 500 companies and startup business. Prior to Centage, John served as Group Director of Planning & Analysis at WearGuard (subsidiary of ARAMARK) where he was instrumental in driving profitability via restructuring, cost containment and margin improvement initiatives. He holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Northeastern University and an MBA from New Hampshire College.
Vice President of Engineering, Piyush is responsible for all aspects of product development. Piyush has over 20 years experience leading development teams for enterprise products. He brings deep expertise designing and delivering scalable analytics products, web and cloud-based architectures, OLAP, Big Data, Business Performance Management and Business Intelligence applications. He also has proven experience building and scaling distributed engineering organizations and managing product operations. He has previously held executive and management positions at IBM in the Business Analytics division, Cognos and Applix. Piyush holds a Masters degree in engineering from Clarkson University and a Bachelors degree from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, India.
Vice President of Sales, Mike has 20 years of experience in direct and channel sales management. He brings strategic vision, leadership and the proven ability to drive sales growth to his position at Centage. Most recently, Mr. Souza served as vice president of sales at HiveFire, a SaaS provider for corporate marketing, responsible for building the start-ups direct and channel revenue streams. Prior to that, he served as vice president of sales and media at Pangea Media, a quiz technology company, where he was responsible for business development, sales and media buying operations. He also served as vice president of sales at ZoomInfo, where he was a part of a leadership team that directed the company to award winning and substantial year-over-year growth in revenue and profits. In six years, he helped bring ZoomInfo from under $1 million in sales, with 3 sales reps, to nearly $20 million in sales with a sales department of over 30. Prior to that, Mr. Souza was at Lycos, where he held an international sales director role. Mr. Souza holds a Bachelors degree in business management from Ithaca College.
Vice President Customer Experience, Chris is leading the charge to ensure every customer experiences the full value of the Budget Maestro Suite and becomes both an expert “a Maestro” and a raving fan. He has more than 20 years of sales, marketing, and customer experience with both software and service companies. He has been instrumental in establishing many of the key relationships Centage has with G/L vendors like Syspro and Sage. He has held a variety of management positions at Centage, Aberdeen Group, SAP America, IDL Systems, Berklee Group, Nematron, and ARC Advisory Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Babson College.
Vice President of Marketing, David has more than 20 years of experience in the high technology market focused on helping emerging growth companies generate demand and build brand awareness. Prior to Centage, he was the director of marketing at Metalogix helping them grow from $8 million in revenue to more than $20 million in three years. Prior to that, he held Senior Marketing Management positions at Kalido, a data warehouse and master data management company, and Extraprise, an integrated CRM solutions provider. David started his career in sales and marketing at Object Design. He holds a MBA and a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business and Marketing from Northeastern University.
David is a management consultant and private investor with a long history of leadership in the software analytics industry. He was most recently the CEO of Applix, a provider of business performance management and business intelligence software. In 2003 Mr. Mahoney became President and CEO of Applix Inc. where he had been a board member since 1991. Applix was acquired by Cognos Inc. in 2007 for $350M representing a 20 times increase in market value in less than five years. Prior to that, he was CEO of Verbind, Inc. a provider of real-time behavioral analytic software and was the founder of Banyan Systems, a pioneer in distributed networking operation systems.
Ken has more than 30 years of experience in startup business planning and development, and a proven track record of growing hi-tech companies. He is currently Managing Partner at Marlborough Street Partners, a provider of strategic and operational consulting for venture financed technology companies. He also serves as Chairman for Extraprise Group, Inc. a provider of integrated CRM solutions, which he founded in 1997. Previously, Marshall was Chairman and CEO of Carbonflow, provider of a portfolio of SaaS applications for participants in the emissions reduction market, President and COO of Giga Information Group, an information technology advisory company and President and CEO of Object Design, Inc, the leader in database products based on object technologies. Object Design was ranked #1 in the Inc. 500 during his tenure. Prior to that, he was Group Vice President at Oracle Corporation and founded its consulting services business. He sits on the board of Actuate Corp. and Streambase Systems. Marshall has a BA from Northeastern University and a MA from Boston College.
