Software Application Consultant

This position will be a critical member of the Professional Services team. The key component of this role is to remotely guide customers through the implementation of the Budget Maestro / Planning Maestro, budgeting and forecasting solutions, and train the end users on the software. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a necessity as well as the ability to exhibit a high level of comfort while implementing our solution directly with CFO, Controller and Director of FP&A levels within an organization. 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Consulting Services, you will consult with the client as to the most effective manner in which to build their Chart of Accounts and Business Structure in Budget Maestro / Planning Maestro, and then train the client on the functionality of the application. The client is assigned to a designated Consultant throughout the implementation process. The Consultant must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview the client to ascertain the nature of the business, the methodology of their budgeting process and their reporting needs.
    • Prepare the structure of the client database that includes the following:
      -  Import Chart of Accounts
      -  Import Organizational Hierarchy
      -  Construct various reporting dimensions inherent in the application
      -  Create Custom Report layouts
  • Train client on application functionality that includes:
      -  Importing monthly actual historical information from resident G/L application
      -  Create budget/forecast records relating to revenue, expenses, personnel and fixed assets
      -  Reporting
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions


Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • 2-4 years consulting or finance experience.  Experience working with financial applications such as QuickBooks, Sage, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains), Cognos or Hyperion is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Experience in a self directed work environment
  • BS with a concentration in Accounting or Finance a plus
  • Potential Travel - 20%
  • Previous experience implementing financial applications a plus
  • Spanish fluency is a plus
