Manufacturing- Inventory Planning and Cost Component

Budget Maestro’s, Manufacturing module supports both the forecasting of Cost Components as well as Inventory Planning and Management. Used together or separately provides a terrific managerial tool for manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors or for service companies that forecast billable hours, hospitals that forecast # of procedures, etc.

The Cost Component feature allows you to accurately forecast finished goods and services that consist of multiple components. Costs associated with these components can be tracked at the individual component level or by a combination of multiple components and can be set on a unit cost basis. All forecasted increases/decreases in costs can be easily applied to determine the impact on your bottom line and cash resources.

The Component Costing module applies not only to manufacturers but to service organizations as well.

Budget Maestro enables you to:

• Forecast your finished goods costs
• Specify any increase/decrease methods for the cost of the component
• Specify the payment schedule (cash or A/P) associated with each component or finished good

The component Costing module combined with the Inventory Planning and Management module, allows you to track and forecast each component.

Tightly integrated with Budget Maestro, the Inventory Management module gives you the ability to accurately project inventory requirements and trace the impact of inventory costs on your Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements. This feature can be used for both product and service types. All forecasted increases/decreases in costs can be easily applied to determine the impact on your bottom line and cash resources.

Budget Maestro enables you to:

• Forecast your inventory based on minimum and maximum levels
• Establish minimum inventory re-order levels
• Establish the maximum inventory level remaining after the projected sales and inventory lead-time is considered
• Track and order inventory for cost components, single element and single element with components revenue sources
• Calculate the required amount of inventory, for each period, based upon your specific requirements
• Accurately reflect your inventory on financial statements. This module automatically provides the necessary adjustments to the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow providing the financial team a true financial position of the organization on-the-fly (at any time).

When used in conjunction with Budget Maestro’s Manufacturing (Component Costing) module, Budget Maestro budgeting software becomes a powerful tool to forecast detailed revenue and expense items related to a finished goods or service.
